Becoming a mother is a very special moment in life that deserves to be celebrated and honored. The best way to do this is in the company of other women and mothers.
What is a Motherblessing/Blessingway?
A Motherblessing is a ceremony that, unlike a baby shower, is entirely focused on the mother-to-be. The ceremony is about highlighting her feelings, wishes and hopes for childbirth and motherhood. It is about giving support and empowering energy to the mother - whether it is her first or last pregnancy.
The Motherblessing ceremony is organized by the women who are close to the pregnant woman, in collaboration with me. The idea is to give her all the strength, love and support she needs on her journey towards childbirth and the transition to motherhood.
Through rituals and personal stories from the participants, the expectant mother is reminded of her inner strength, strengthened in her intuition and celebrated. She is blessed with good wishes and can thus prepare for childbirth in a positive and empowering way.
Practical Information
The rituals and setting of the ceremony are determined individually, and the ceremony can be a surprise for the expectant mother or something she initiates herself. As a pregnant woman, all you need to do is sit back and embrace this ceremony - let yourself be supported and held in this important moment.

Each Motherblessing ceremony is unique and customized to the needs and wishes of the pregnant woman. Here are some examples of rituals and activities that can be included:

- Weaving of flower garlands
- Foot bath with bath salts and herbs
- Massage
- Guided meditation
- Crafts (e.g. birth necklace or bracelet, birth candle)
- Manifestation of the birth
- Sharing wishes and blessings
- Shared meal or tea and snacks
- Creation of a support plan, where participants can sign up to help the family during the postpartum period
- A physical gift to bring to the birth, such as a small book, jewelry, crystal or similar
