My name is Leonie. Originally from Germany, I now live in Gothenburg with my partner, Albin, and our beloved, chubby cat, Sune. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga and meditation, traveling, reading, sipping tea, knitting, second-hand shopping, and always learning something new. 

I am a certified doula through Förlossningsgruppens doula training and an instructor for Aktiv Baby (similar to Spinning Babies®) and Föda utan Rädsla (Birth without Fear). When I’m not supporting families as a doula, I work as a project manager for an NGO that supports girls and young women—a role that aligns with my lifelong dream of working with and for women and families. 

My journey to becoming a doula began at the age of 20 when an unplanned pregnancy resulted in a deeply considered decision to have an abortion. While the choice felt right, I also faced feelings of shame and isolation, which ignited my passion for advocating for women's reproductive health and rights. 

In recent years, my partner and I have faced our own challenges with conceiving, enduring several pregnancy losses. These deeply personal experiences have strengthened my empathy and commitment to supporting others during life’s transformative and vulnerable moments. 

Supporting you on your birth journey - a profoundly intimate and life-changing experience - is an incredible honor. As your doula, I offer continuous emotional and physical support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. My role is to empower you with knowledge, encourage your intuition, and create a sense of safety and trust throughout your journey.

I also work closely with your partner, equipping them with the tools and confidence to be a steady and supportive presence for you. Together, we aim for you to reflect on your birth experience with a sense of strength and positivity.

I am proud to support all families, regardless of background, sexuality, or birth preferences. Every birth I attend reaffirms the beauty of this unique journey and the privilege of being welcomed into such a sacred space ❤

I am available as a doula in Gothenburg and nearby areas, including Trollhättan, Borås, and Varberg. I offer services in German, English, and Swedish.
